Queen Is Honored as a Community Leader

 

 

Claudia was honored October 10th at the 3rd Annual Fairy Godmother Fair.

 

Temecula Mayor, Michael S. Naggar, sent Claudia a Certificate of Appreciation stating “We applaud Dr. Claudia Rose for her professional achievements and extraordinary service to the community. We appreciate her desire to help people gain a more positive outlook and to help change people’s lives for the better.”

 

U.S. Representative Christopher Cox and California Senator Dick Ackerman each sent a Certificate of Recognition for her “extraordinary service to the community.” U.S. Representative Darrell E. Issa sent a letter with the words “You set the standard for commitment and service for those around you…” Former colleague, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, sent a letter to “offer my sincere gratitude for your generosity, humanity and legacy of service in the community.”

Founders of the Fairy Godmother Guild

QUALIFIED TO BE QUEEN
 

Dr. Claudia Rose has been preparing a lifetime to lead the Fairy Godmother Guild. She has a B.F.A. in Studio Art, a M.A. and Ph.D. in psychology plus an Executive Certificate in Voluntary Leadership from Chapman University.

 

Her work experience includes 10 years in non-profit organizations as a social worker, supervisor, and 7 years as manager and director of the Haynes Foster Family Agency. She planned, organized and coordinated the strategic and daily operations of the multi-cultural interdisciplinary non-profit agency with an annual budget of $1.5M and a staff of 50 overseeing 500 clients and volunteers. Dr. Rose also served as the Administrative Director of the Institute for Voluntary Leadership and a member of its Organizing Board. 

 

Dr. Rose’s specialized training includes: Certified Facilitator in Attitudinal Healing, Certified Facilitator in Jack Canfield's Self-Esteem Training, Ordained Minister, Certified Holistic Counselor with extensive training in marketing, publishing, public speaking, and publicity. She designed and led parent education, self-parenting, health & fitness, crisis intervention, self-esteem, goal setting, and transformational change workshops throughout the U.S.

 

Clients and colleagues call Dr. Rose a Mentoring Master for her gentle and compassionate approach to practical wisdom. She has empowered women with her public speaking and three published books: Rebecca’s Legacy: Embracing Ancestors as Your Mentors, Liberate the Leader: Giving Every Woman the Guts to Lead, and Daughter of Spirit, Daughter of Peace: A Prayer for Humanity.

 

For over 20 years, Dr. Rose has empowered thousands of adults and children to see new possibilities in their lives. As a fitness expert and champion athlete, she was dubbed “America’s Superwoman” by fans and journalists alike. Dr. Rose was the first California Bodybuilding Champion in 1980.

 

Queen Claudia puts her heart into everything she strives to accomplish.  In fact, she embodies the phrase “actions speak louder then words,” as she has not only become a pioneer for the needy, but a successful force to be reckoned with in the real estate community. 

 

“A house is more then lumber, landscaping and furnishings,” says Rose.  “It is a home where people make memories, put down roots and build their dreams. I am honored to help.” Dr. Rose is a licensed real estate agent in southern California, where she helps create heaven on earth one home at a time.

AMBASSADOR EXTRAORDINAIRE

Kay Walburger is the founder of Play ‘n Prosper, a network community of enthusiastic and  compassionate entrepreneurs, artists, business, and professional people. She is a creative writer, author, and columnist for Awareness Magazine Kay is known as the "Pied Piper of Networking" and creates a lighthearted space for others to enjoy.  Kay was a founder of the Hat Connection in Costa Mesa, and Orange County Council for Self-Esteem. 

 

Kay has a long and proud history of community service and fundraising.  At age nineteen, she became a professional photographer and began helping her mother, a member of the Du Page Memorial Hospital Guild, and her fundraising efforts by providing publicity for their events. 

 

Later she helped her children’s schools in their efforts to raise money for the Parents and Teachers Association.  Through her creative efforts they improved attendance and parent participation in all school events.  During their years in high school she again helped improve fundraising efforts of the Boosters Club (sports) and Parents of Drama Club.  She created an event that became an annual fundraiser for the drama students and another opportunity to show off their competition performances.

 

In 1990, Kay founded The Hat Connection, a businesswomen’s luncheon network.  This group was so successful that it became the Women’s Division of the Chamber.  They averaged about 125 members and guests at every meeting and each year brought in over 200 new members to the chamber.  Under Kay’s leadership, this group helped the 25 non-profit organizations with their fundraisers, providing volunteers, prizes, money, and services in kind.  Her group sponsored a fundraiser called The Mad Hatter’s Ball for a different charity each year.  They helped Girls Incorporated, The Costa Mesa Senior Citizens Center, and Children’s Hospital of Orange County.  The Hat Connection also helped fundraising for KOCE-TV, a PBS Station, and Poncho Gonzales Legends Against Leukemia Tennis Tournament.
